AN INTRODUCTION TO Internal Family Systems (IFS)

Internal Family Systems is a therapy modality or framework that I draw from a lot in my practice. It is based on the assumption that all of our cognitive and behavioural responses that we don't love so much, or may cause challenges in our relationships, are actually smart inner "parts" of ourselves acting in ways they've learned to keep us safe - so even when they seem misaligned with the moment, there's sense-making happening inside us. It's us doing our best, using what we've learned from past experiences!

EXPLORING ALTERNATIVE RELATIONSHIP
STRUCTURES

Nonmonogamy! Are you considering exploring it? Or maybe you're freshly launched into a nontraditional relationship structure? Here's a list of books that I trust to support you on this ride:

*Polyamory: A Toolkit..., Martha Kauppi (great for clinicians and non-clinicians)

*Designer Relationships, Michaels & Johnson

*Mating in Captivity, Esther Perel

*The Polyamory Breakup Book: Causes, Prevention, and Survival, Kathy Labriola
